TUTORIAL: HENkaku simple (LOCAL) server using windows pc

Post by Gringo466 » Mon Aug 08, 2016 3:44 am

This is something i personally had an issue succeeding with getting it running properly. So i was kind enough to help everyone else out and show you how i got mine up and running.
IF you have the c2 error then simply clear the browser Cookies and then rebooting the vita.

SPECIAL THANKS: Guys over at #HENkaku for the assistance in getting it right (bunch of nice people).

OK, Here we go.

Step 1,
Download Software Required
UniServerZ Download:HERE (you can use python webserver instead but i had issues so i chose to use this.)
GO 1.6.3 x64 Download:HERE
HENkaku Offline Files:HERE
MSYS2 Download:HERE
Python 3.5 Download: HERE

Step 2,
Install MSYS2, GO and python3.
Reboot PC.

Step 2.5, (Only required if python2 was not installed previously)
Navigate to the "python" installation folder and simply COPY (not move) the python.exe to a seperate folder rename to python3.exe and copy back into the "python" installation folder.
E.G.: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python35-32

Notes: You can use "run" to open the folder. Windows 10 can also use Start menu search to open it.

Step 3,
Open up MSYS2 shell. "cd" into the directory that you have your files extrated for the henkaku offline server.
E.G.: /C/users/[User Name]/Desktop/Henkaku-1.0
(in MSYS2 it follows Unix address so instead of "\" use "/". there is also no ":" required for the drive e.g: "C:\ = /C/")

Step 4,
Run the command (This is assuming that your local IP is "192.168.1.101")
Command: ./build.sh http://192.168.1.101:4000/ http://192.168.1.101:8888/pkg
(keep window open)

Step 5, (Skip this step if you are using the python webserver the command is included below)
open up, "UniServerZController.exe" Best to "run as ADMIN".
Click on the "apache" tab on the toolbar, navigate to change "apache root folders" and click on "change root folder www".
Navigate to the "host" folder inside of the extracted HENkaku folder and click "ok".
click "start apache" and minimize if wanted.

Step 6,
Open your MSYS2 window back up and run the following commands
Command: cd host
go run stage2.go -payload stage2.bin -port 4000
(if using python webserver also run this command, if not skip it.) python -m http.server 8888

Step 7,
Boot Vita, open web browser and navigate to the following URL.
URL: http://192.168.1.101/exploit.html

Click "OK"

if you are having errors or issues follow the steps below and keep going until it works. (once it starts to work it normally works continuously.)

try it a few times.

clear cookies and reboot (vita)

try a few more times.

remove memory card, reboot, reinsert memory card, reboot.

try a few more times.

rebuild database (from recovery)

try a few more times.

VOLA!

Step 8,
Install Homebrew and enjoy!

I had that issue first, all you have to do, I think, is erase the 'blank space' separating the '/' and the second http, that way I think it worked. I had a problem after that, though, when I have everything set up and I connect with my Vita, I get an error after the 'Welcome to Henkaku!' screen: Instead of the usual 'installer' I get with the official site, the screen stops loading for several seconds and then I get a 'the application stopped working' that reloads the page D= Anyone knows how to fix this?

Did that, figuring that probably my problem came from that step too, but I still get the 'python3 order not found' error. Any clue why?

win + R
Run: cmd

run command
command: python3

if it "cannot find"

then type

Command: cmd

try again.
i had to reboot for mine to locate "python" from within the "command prompt"

the space is required to tell the build script that it is the second address. do not delete the space, it is because when python 2 is installed and then python 3 is installed python 3 is renamed from python to python3 in the command so that "python" command still points to python 2 and the "python3" points to python 3

your second address the "IP:PORT/pkg" does not contain the package for the shell. check the command with the tutorial and try to rebuild making sure that your webserver contains the "PKG" folder.
