[Tutorial] Longer controller battery life

Post by genxmur » Mon Feb 29, 2016 12:43 pm

Not sure if this has been written on wololo before,But here are some methods to prolong the usage of your controller. Now there have been many guides about this(LOTS of guides) but I figured there should be one present here as well,For the record. There are tons of methods but I'm just going to list the most efficient ones here.
1.Lowering the controller volume:
Not to confused with TV volume or any other volume.Hold the the round PS button until the menu changes,Now you'll a couple of menu options,And lower the SPEAKER volume,You could also lower the headphones volume if you wish,But lowering the speaker volume is enough.
2.Set the controller to turn off automatically:
You won't believe how many times it happens that you have to do something somewhere for a while and forget to turn off the controller,In which case your battery will be pretty much dead by the time you get back.To prevent this you can set a time limit after which the controller will turn off automatically,You can do this by going into Settings>Power Saving Settings>Turn Off DUALSHOCK 4 Automatically and select whatever time you want.
3.Turning off Vibration:
You can do this by going into Settings>Devices>Controllers>Enable Vibration(Uncheck this if checked)
4.Brightness of lightbar:
Again,Go to Settings>Devices>Controllers>Brightness of DUALSHOCK 4 Light Bar.'Medium' is usually ok but feel free to set it to 'Dim'

That's it folks,That's my short tut. Nothing special but worth trying to win with this.(Though that really isn't why I wrote it,My idea of passing time)
Just a note,This tutorial is aimed at those who game for consecutive hours.. or guys with battery life problems and don't have means to replace the battery.
