Help Editing a 6.60 Theme

Post by RJS » Fri Oct 09, 2015 1:06 am

Hi,

I`m trying to edit the Toradora CTF theme for 6.60 (can be found on nicoblog and other forums) and have successfully extracted it using a patched version of ctftools, however when trying to open the rco files, I keep getting an error message stating that the rco files are not valid. I`ve heard you need to decrypt them, but I haven`t seen anything up to date on new firmware versions.

In particular, I`m trying to replace the sound files with the stock ones, change the wallpaper and remove the spinning toradora in the top right hand corner.

If anyone has any advice, that would really help me out, thanks in advance for any comments.

You can use this app to decrypt those RCOs.
http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applicati ... i-v03.html
To run that on 6.60, you'll need to use ME CFW with leda.prx (included with ME) enabled in game.txt.

Since this post helped me find a solution to decompress the Toradora CTF theme, I figured id share how to do it even if this thread is a couple years old. After a lot of searching and tutorials I found that programs like Resurssiklunssi and rco edit don't work because it gives an error "Error: [header] Invalid signature - not a valid RCO file ".

The program that does work is rcotool v0.1 by Z33 and you can download it here https://psp.brewology.com/downloads/dow ... 402&mcid=1, I hope this helps someone looking to decompress rco files from ctf themes that gives an error on most rco editing programs.

If you have any problems here is a ready to edit .ctf file that will work in rco editor and such programs https://anonfile.com/kdhbK1q4nb/toradora_ctf
