How to use board tools @ Wololos blog&talk?

Postby toBsucht » Mon Jun 20, 2011 12:09 pm

Hi,
Wololo.net members!

I open this post becouse i seen a lot of topic which aren´t posted well or users haven not reply "nice" ///same here :?: :lol: :!:
Keeping in mind as i start to post stuff i didn´t know how to use the board tools. So i hope i can help you to make a "clean & nice" post / topic here.

This is only board tool related ;)

Let´s start ...

You clicked a button to sent a reply / quote or new topic.

Now you can start to write.
On the top we got a toolbar.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
B / i/ u / Quote / Code / List / List= /
/ Img / Url / Normal / Front colour / center / s / spoiler / youtube
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
to use to tools you can mark a singel letter, word or strings.
Or click on the extra button (tool) and write between the signs for the tool.
To show you how it look i write ( insteed of [ and ) = ]

1. Example make written things big:

hallo
(b) hallo (/b)

this does exactly work the same way with other tool:
i = italic text example = (i) i (/i)
u = underline example = (u) u (/u)
s = strikethrought text example = (s) s (/s) on board @ your post
..
you can use more than one tool for a text editing.

example = (size=150) (b)(i)example(/i)(/b)(/size)

now you see the tool spacer for the size contain a = you can change it manuel or automatic if you choose a different size.
Note: the size and the colour numbers can only changed to the listed numbers. For colour you can also write a listed colour name.

example or example = (color=#FF000)example(/color) or (color=red)example(/color)

to hide some stuff may becouse it´s a bit off topic, large or whatever please use spoiler. Than other user can click on the spoiler if the want to know/see more!!! note: some people may not note that they can click thier so it may helpful to comment a spoiler.
a)
(spoiler) xxx wrote: text ... (/spoiler)
b)
(spoiler=xxx wrote:) : text ... (/spoiler)
a)
Spoiler
xxx wrote: text ...
b)
xxx wrote:
text ...
how to make a double spoiler
i wonder
Spoiler
why double spoiler doesn´t work
now i got the answer
To see how it does work press Quote then the text will automaticly copied into your new reply
Please do not Submit a Quote if not necessary
more tool functions
if you want to post a big text you can use the code-tool so this make it easyer to scroll throught the post:

Code: Select all
very large text
..x
..x

= (code) very large text
..................x
..................x (/code)

more tool are down under your text window
_______________________________________
Options / Upload attachment / Poll creation (poll creation, only if you open your own topic)
Options = the standard setting can be changed in the user controll panel
Upload attachment = you can upload files up to ~ 500kb (for bigger file you may use webhost example mediafire or megaupload)
Image << click the picture to download

how to check your post befor open it to the public (delete)
i´m not experienced in all possibel combinations so if i try something new in a post i press Preview to check if all is ok.
Than Submit to make the text public.
If you thinking the post isn´t fine you can delete it by using the edit button at the right site in you post.
Delete your text press Submit now on the top is a littel button which asking you if you want to delete it choose yes and Submit you may get ask one more time if you really want to delete it.
If delete doesn´t work you can edit the post ( delete all unimportant or wrong entries ) may comment the edit.
a few sign that i use sometimes
←↑↓→ <▲▼ > ■

To see how it does work press Quote then the text will automaticly copied into your new reply
Please do not Submit a Quote if not necessary, quoting² mess up topic´s and people most likely cann´t follow.
Please use the reply button and write @xxUserxxName

Here are some html basics for Wololos blog:

Code: Select all
<b>big</b>
<i>italic</i>
<strike>strike</strike>
i believe you can also use s insteed of strike

You forgot some that aren't completely obvious! Like...

The Unordered List:

What does it do?
It displays a list using dots.

How do I use it?
Code: Select all

One block

For

Each item
What does it look like?

  • One block
  • For
  • Each item

How can I nest them?
Code: Select all

Level 1

Level 2

Level 3

What does it look like?

  • Level 1
    • Level 2
      • Level 3

The ordered list:

What does it do?
It displays an ordered list using the alphabet, roman numerals, or numbers.

How do I use it?
Code: Select all
//Upper-Case Alphabet:

Item

Item

Item
//Lower-Case Alphabet:

Item

Item

Item
//Upper-Case Roman numerals:

Item

Item

Item
//Lower-Case Roman numerals:

Item

Item

Item
//Numbers:

Item

Item

Item
What does it look like?

//Upper-Case Alphabet:
  1. Item
  2. Item
  3. Item

//Lower-Case Alphabet:
  1. Item
  2. Item
  3. Item

//Upper-Case Roman numerals:
  1. Item
  2. Item
  3. Item

//Lower-Case Roman numerals:
  1. Item
  2. Item
  3. Item

//Numbers:
  1. Item
  2. Item
  3. Item

How can I nest them?
The same way I showed you above.

Looks fine to me. :shock: The text is the exact size as the text in ToBsucht's post.

PS. How would an adjustment to djbevan's browser text size be noticeable to anyone but djbevan?!? :shock:
