Marvel VS. Capcom 2 and King of Fighters '99, if I still had it, I would be playing Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Best Mortal Kombat ever.

Fighting games dominated the 2D era IMO.
Due to the lack of people that care about my sig, I'm going to write notes to myself here instead.

Parasite Eve 2 (first time playing)
Final Fantasy VII (first time playing)

And sometimes for fun:

Tekken 2 and 3
Tomb Raider II
Silent Hill (3rd time through)
Crash Bandicoot
Ridge Racer Revolution
