Err, to change the MSID for it to run you need the KIRK 7 key.

Also, really this is a dead end, whats the point in running Sony code?

Allowing people to unbrick their PSP-2000 without paying 120 bucks :)

nobody cares about that. we wanna run our own service code.

All right. Battery serial number must be 0hFFFFFFFF
Logs were removed during restoration PSP-3000.
This is evident from the logs. But we need to give the correct answer, which we do not know yet.
We need to understand the mechanism of encryption.

But 0hFFFFFFFF is impossible, HEX is from 0-9 and A-F, so how to get the "h"?

Edit: Okay thx Eric

No, you're probably not familiar with the HEX-editing. But the letter H means just a 16-decimal value.
That is, the means 0xFFFFFFFF

i'd like to know if anyone successfully followed this guide to unbrick a psp 200x ta88v3 and if so, i'd like to share opinions as i wanna try it myself.
also, i don't speak jap but i found this http://forum.gamegaz.jp/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1307 and from what i understand using google translate, it's an early release of MSID Writer. Has anyone tried this?

i would say you had more help than just this guide :)

Yoti wrote:Won't work, sure.

i was asking if someone tried, not if it would work :) many things shouldn't work and they do.. eg: my car
anyway, if you'd like to explain why it won't work, please do.
