The Z post at pspking.de that his psp1000 was bricked using 639 prob8, someone also post at Coldbird Blag that his psp1000 also bricked, also a friend of Steven, so that means 639 pro b8 is not safe?

has anyone ever got the custom server update to work? you go to the system update icon in the xmb, right? all I get is some server unavailable error : ( After hearing all these brick cases Im not shure about installing it anyway. theres always "old faithfull" TN-E

Yes it does... Team Pro didn't have this release polished that good before changing it to official build b8. There has been 3 different official releases now.
