vitaVoyager v.0.5

Description:

vitaVoyager is a port of lilium-voyager, an ioquake3 fork made to be compatible with multiplayer mode of Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force.
I suggest NOT TO MESS UP with Setup menu since the release will have an already tweaked config file that should offer a good framerate without downgrading too much graphics. If you want to change some settings, edit hmconfig file inside baseEF folder.
Both local and online multiplayer are fully implemented as well as game against bots.

How to use lower resolutions:

To use higher resolutions to improve framerate more, edit in hmconfig file the r_mode parameter to:

0 = 480x272
1 = 640x368
2 = 720x408
3 = 960x544

Default resolution (for better performances) is 480x272.

Controls:

DPad or Left Analog = Move character
Right Analog/Touchscreen = Move Camera
L = Aim
R = Shoot
Cross = Jump
Square = Crouch
Circle = Use Item
Triangle = Change in use weapon
Start = Pause
Select = Show Score

How to install:

In order to play it, you must place pak*.pk3 files from your installation of Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force in ux0:data/voyager/baseEF.
Demo file are NOT supported.
To use your CD Key, just transfer efq3.key file too in the same place.

Dynarec:

Dynarec is enableable but causes crashes at game ends so it's your choice if it's worth to enable it or not. By default qvms execution is set to Interpreter mode. To switch to dynarec mode, here are some instructions: https://twitter.com/Rinnegatamante/stat ... 2857763840

Hey, I found this just Googling to see if it had been done already after trying to port it myself. Holomatch, with permission from Raven and other parties, is now fully free to download and distribute. You can legally update this port to run without needing to add game files and key from a legit copy.

Also, nice work! Do you plan to do the single player? That would need a legit copy and key legally still. What about EF2? EF2 was also on the Quake 3 Engine I believe.

Afaik, there's no ioq3 fork supporting single player of EF. If i'm mistaken, i would gladly work on porting it too. As for EF2, i don't think the engine got opensourced (most likely it requires some modifications to vanilla ioq3 kinda like what happened with RTCW, CoD, MoH: AA and similars)

As for the data files, is there some public official stance from Raven Software regarding the Holomatch full experience to became freeware?

Hey I was wondering if you could trick the game to work multiplayer on internet between 2 vitas,I could start one but there would be an error however the other vita could still see the Server and connect but the hosting server vita still doesn't load proper, it tries to fix the issue but gets stuck at Hitch warning: 7012 msec frame time. so overall just curious if it would be possible to fix this?

Game doesn't start. What do I do wrong? After a few seconds, getting back to the home screen. Are v1.2 patched .pk3 files supported?

vitaVoyager v.0.6 available for download!

This release will greatly improve performances thanks to dynarec fixes as well as updates to vitaGL.
If you're not going to update data files, BE SURE TO CHANGE vm_game, vm_cgame and vm_ui values in your hmconfig.cfg to 2.

- Fixed dynarec issues with game qvm. Now works as intended.
- Updated to latest vitaGL commit.
- Slightly reduced memory usage of the engine.
- Fixed a memleak in dynamic libraries loader.

v.0.6 still doesn't work on my vita. Any suggestions? v1.2 patched .pk3 files should be supported, too!
