Executing an eboot.bin programmatically?

Post by Stinkee2 » Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:07 pm

I'm working on a hobby project that involves launching native applications as if they were launched by normal means. Is it possible using the homebrew SDK to execute the eboot.bin of an installed application? Something tells me it's not that simple. It doesn't really matter to me what the means of launching the application is as long as it can return to my application when the launched application exits. Are there options available for this?

On this same line of thought (assuming the above is currently possible somehow), is it possible to override the default behavior of the PS button within any launched application so that it opens some custom menu rendered by the launcher application or some module?

EDIT:
I've found something I think is close to what I'm looking for: https://docs.vitasdk.org/group__SceAppM ... 418d14c587

I'll post back with my findings when I try it out
