[OPEN] PS Vita Adrenaline Questions

So in order to install Adrenaline I must have a PSP game on my PS Vita, Does the Vita has to be activated ? Are these two things dependent on each other? Would I be able to move a PSP game file from my PSP on to my computer and then onto my PS Vita, or are the files actually different for it to work with PS Vita? Any help would be appreciated.
