To clarify a bit the first one is a lightCFW for use with most 2k and all 3k/Go units(any that can't have the normal full CFW), the "light" bit just means you need to run its "fast recovery" when ever you power off or reboot the system but beside that its the same as any "full" CFW.

The second is the full CFW for 1k and early 2k units, it uses a cIPL and is permanent, the OFW thing means the installer will run without the need of any other hacks and is meant for people with no CFW.

The third is the same as the second but you need to have CFW or some way of running unsigned code to use it, its meant for people that already have CFW and are just upgrading.

The last is a plugin that lets ad-hoc games play online instead of local only using the ProOnline servers.

Thanks fate6 that's a really great explanation. I guess i go for lme then on my 300x (or is there some reason why pro cfw would be better for beginners, because that thing has a big guide here somewhere on wololo but (l) me didn't have one.

PRO has more guides since it was released first and was originally for the none perma CFW systems which more people had, then later it got a cIPL patch to make it permanent on the older PSP's.

ME started as a full CFW only so less people used it plus it was essentially just the older M33 but updated for newer firmwares, no new features at the start but did later get plenty of new options and a "light" version so any system could use it.

This is iirc since its been years :(

At this point they are both pretty much the same and share nearly every feature thanks to Rahim-US and qwikrazor87 and in fact beside the LEDA plugin to run very old pre CFW homebrew I can't think of anything ME has over PRO and with the ProOnline plugin that was made for ME I can't think of anything PRO has over ME anymore.

Tl;Dr: flip a coin and go with whatever since it really doesn't matter anymore, I use lME + Infinity to have a permanent lME on my 3k so you could try that.
