[RELEASE] VPK Editor 1.2 - VPK & MAIDUMP (UPDATED APR 2017)

Post by qberty »

Hey there, I decided to stop lurking everywhere for a bit and made a simple cross-platform VPK editor that allows you to modify the livearea graphics of any VPK!

FEATURES:
- Multi-platform!
- Opens any VPK file designed for the PS Vita
- Let’s you change the icon, the livearea icon, and the livearea background image
- Automatically converts the images (from JPEG or PNG) to the correct bit-depth (8 bit) supported by the PS Vita
- Mai Dump ZIP support
- Basic XML editing

Image

It is currently available for Windows, Mac (+ x64), Linux, and 64 bit Linux. It runs on all these platforms natively so there won't be any issues with file speeds and compatibility. If there's any interest i'll definitely be updating it to support editing the template.xml so everyone can easily edit the LiveArea text that is displayed. If you need to contact me directly just tweet me for a quick reply or status update.

All downloads are direct links, and would appreciate it if no one would mirror it unless you really have to.

It seems to be an issue with people that have an awkward screen resolution. A square window doesn't play nice. So 1.2 will fix it by keeping things rectangular. ;)

hi!
I was testing your 'VPKEditorLin64' program and I've been caught, I can't do resize the window, I can't see more buttons.
I am using a version of Slackware
attach a screenshot, maybe you want to solve it.

bye!

Yeah, looks like square windows suck. When I finish up template.xml editing, i'll make everything horizontal and that window thing won't happen.

hey, it seems there so many people have the problem cannot maximize the vpk editor window. I found the solution. You can use the same trick from this website: http://www.techvigil.com/tips-tricks/40 ... l-windows/ Now I can save my customized vpk. Cheers!!! :D :D :D
