Re: Converting PSP IOSs to PKG Files
Hey, is there a more complete list of the pkg files links out there, can't find a couple of the games I wanted there. (Crash of the Titans, Crash: Mind Over Mutant)
Re: Converting PSP IOSs to PKG Files
You can use Media Go to download ever game that is availabe in your region and access it's pkg. Of course you have to own the games you want to download, however there is no use in having a pkg of a game you dont own anyway.
PSP 1004 6.60 ME
PSV 1000 3.60 HENKAKU
PS3 CECH-2004A FERROX 4.80 Cobra 7.3

When I try getting this to work I get to the point where everything is installed and licenses are present, but when launching it says I need to activate my Vita. Tried the vita-activator but no luck, only get a act.dat that's 0kb in size.

You need to own the game then get the license riff from a PSP or PS3.Notn4 wrote:When I try getting this to work I get to the point where everything is installed and licenses are present, but when launching it says I need to activate my Vita. What about this utility for PSP PKGs? What if extract PKG and manually put extracted files on Vita. Then edit db files and transfer license from PSP?

I did, turns out that the vita-activator didn't work for some reason, but using the earlier verion (v0.1 I think) to generate a act.dat file and manually replacing the old one got it to work.fate6 wrote:You need to own the game then get the license riff from a PSP or PS3.Notn4 wrote:When I try getting this to work I get to the point where everything is installed and licenses are present, but when launching it says I need to activate my Vita. On another note, this method works for PSP-only demos too, managed to install VHBL on a fresh account without purchasing a single game! Thanks to all involved in this method.
Re: Converting PSP IOSs to PKG Files
The whole process for installing and running PSP games makes no since.
1.) Why is it that when installing and or running homebrew or dev apps on a retail vita the device automatically creates a .rif license without having anything to do with the psn?
2.) And by the way we don't need to pre-own homebrew or dev apps in order for the vita to create .rif files.
3.) But all of a sudden when we want PSP games to work we need to pre-own the games? And the games or the PSP .rif files need to be attached to our accounts? I call bull ****!!!!
In other words NOTHING needs to be pre-owned and NOTHING needs to be attached to your account in order to do things with PSP games. In order to run PSP games the OS checks to see if the .rif file is installed, without that file you can't do jack ****. Your PSN account has nothing to do with PSP games and or the .rif files.
EDIT: Since the homebrew and dev apps are .vpk, they might come pre packaged with the .rif files.
