[TUTORIAL] FTP files no FILEZILLA or FREEWARE

Post by lamzeta »

Hi, this is my first tutorial and a very simple one on how to FTP files from or to
pc and VITA.
NO FILE ZILLA OR ANY FREEWARE because your OS has built in FTP!
You'll need a PC (RUNNING WINDOWS), WIFI or HOTSPOT, and of course a PLAYSTATION VITA/TV RUNNING HENKAKU. THANK'S TEAM MOLECULE!

STEP01-
Open COMMAND PROMPT on your WINDOWS BASED PC, type the magic word => ... FTP ...
Then press enter and BOOM your now FTP'NG. NO FUSS, NO MESS!
STEP02-
Grab your PLAYSTATION VITA open VITA SHELL or MOLECULE via your HENKAKU enabled VITA,
press select and get familiar with the ip and port.
STEP03-
Now that we're familiarized with the IP and PORT, return to your COMMAND PROMPT
type in some more magic syntax => ... OPEN ...
STEP04-
Now it's time to enter our IP and PORT we got from our VITA here is what it should look
like in this example
123.123.12.12 1234
let me remind you the periods and that 1/only SPACE is important for enjoying your FTP sessions
press enter TWICE or 2 TIMES, the second is for the password or login, it does not matter.
Then navigate to a specified folder of your choosing
with the following in CMD (COMMAND) line => ... CD ... PRESS ENTER, cd is short for CHANGE DIRECTORY
Next type the following => ... ur0: ... that is a location on your memory stick if I am not mistaken, another reminder of what to be careful not to miss while in CMD PROMPT (or CMD for
short) is => CaSE SENsitiVe RULes <= none of this please, be sure/certain to capitalize anything that is
spelled as is, in your locations either on LOCAL or REMOTE. This step took care of linking to
your VITA and setting the REMOTE LOCAL to a specific place. One last thing in this step is to
type in this => ... binary ... this CMD is to change data type both outgoing and receiving.
STEP05-
Now that your linked to your VITA we're gonna send some files over to your VITA.
On the PC search and right click on the file you want to send, let's say it is a VPK
file, like a homebrew/emulator. The file location should be displayed after you right click and
press PROPERTIES in the menu. Memorize the file location.
You can head back to CMD (command prompt) now type ... send ... and press enter.
type the location of the file, press enter twice/2 times. That's all it takes to send files
NO FUSS, NO MESS!

Well if you want to use the bare bones FTP in Windows then just use explorer instead of CMD.

Like fate6 said, you can just make a folder in "My Computer" redirect to any FTP address. No need for any CMD commands. Maybe I'll write up a tutorial later. IK for a fact I've done it before and it wasn't this complicated.
Does it quit? If not, then it's legit... Too legit.

Nvidia Shield Portable 48gb
Dreamcast: SEGA Sports - 80gb IDE HDD
4k PS3 Super Slim OFW 4.82
1k PSP: 6.60 ME-2.3
1K PSVita: Ensō 32GB - 64GB SD2VITA - 128GB PSVSD

You can just type the address in the navigation bar even.
