PSP 1000 btw
PSP 1000 are completely hackable. You can make a Pandora battery (if you have the original battery) and downgrade, this is the safest method. Or you can use downgrading tools.
i do have the original battery, any tutorials you can recommend?
You need a second PSP in order to make a Pandora battery without a second PSP you can make it only with the hard mod which is cutting a wire inside the battery. After you use the battery you can convert it again to a normal one. Search for hard Pandora mod for PSP 1000 battery on YouTube.

Considering you have a PSP 1k with CFW installed, PSP Tool v1.00 is a very nice tool, allows you to soft mod your PSP battery to a Pandora battery, and make your memory stick in to a "Magic Memory Stick" or MMS, which will be required for the Pandora battery.
You can also try out the Chronoswitch Downgrader, also works from OFW.

You dont need any tool at all. The ME CFW itself can create a pandora battery via its Recovery Menu.

Hey guys-- I've run into a problem running some PSP game ISO files. They had all been running perfectly for the last 6 months since I installed the 6.60 ME 2.2 cfw on my psp 1000 up until about a week ago.
Now I am getting error "80020148" when I attempt to run certain games. How do I fix this problem?
Thanks

any tool at all, including PC or PSP tool to make MMS (not that Pandora/MMS is the goal here)?

Can you tell me if there is some setting messing it up? Possibly ISO cache?

There is only one setting about pause function in the recovery which keeps the game even when you resume and its network update.
I don't think that it will change anything but give it a chance. Is the pause function working when you're on the official fw ? If there is anything in the memory try to delete it first.

Try to change the GAME CPU to "default" and try to switch the ISO Driver between ME, Sony & Inferno.
