[Tutorial][Rejuvenate] FIX: Please re-create a Device Seed..

Post by sakao » Wed Jul 29, 2015 10:32 am

Do you have this message when you try to launch an homebrew with rejuvenate ?
Failed the authentication to execute application. Please re-create a Device Seed and App Key using with PSM Studio or Publishing Utility. :(

Here's the fix: :)
1-Format your memory card.
2-Restore the PSM Dev App with Qcma. Don't launch it.
3- Activate wifi and lanch email app.
4-Configure again your email account.
5-Install the five files contained in your "psm license file" email.
6-Install the two files contained in your (freshly generated) "psm daily files" email.
6B-Disable Wifi. The psm dev app doesn't need to connect to anything if psm+ is correctly installed via .eml hack !!
7-Launch psm dev app, you should have the "no content installed" message not the "could not confirm your developer license".
If you have the later one or another one telling you that an update is available for the psm dev app, then you did something wrong in step 5, 6 or 6B. If it's the case you must start for scratch again (step 1) !!

As far I understand the thing is to never launch the psm dev app without having the psm daily files up to date.

I tried uninstalling psm dev app without reformating but it don't help in the end.

PS: If you want to be connected on your LAN to play/work with rejunevate without your vita can access the internet do this on your vita:
In wifi connection select your network and go to advanced settings.
Change ip parameters from DHCP to Manual then put whatever you want in gateway and dns server (except the good ones!).
Ex: My router and my dns have the same adress: 192.168.1.254.
If i replace this value in the gateway and dns fields on my vita by, let say, 192.168.1.253 then my vita is connected to LAN but not to WAN ;) .
On side note It seems to cause some VMDEATH with rejuvenate. To avoid them activate the wifi before launching the psm dev app and launch quickly an homebrew.

I hope I helped :) .

All is working now?? Make a system backup!! Time saver !

EDIT: PLEASE tell us if this worked for you. Thanks!
EDIT2: ADD STEP 6B.

NB: When I personally experienced the problem I had two vita stick. With the first one everything was working but with the second one device seed problem (at first both were working). That's why I thought the problem was on vita side.

what do I put in the advanced section ? what ip? because formatting is not an option for 3.36 or 3.51 holding out on that till more details? thank you in advance for your help. ;)

The trick to be connected to LAN but not to WAN isn't necessary and won't fix any problem, it's just for the peace of mind.

I'm on 3.51 and formatting the memory card is not a problem if you have backed up your apps with QCMA, it's not a system restore.

Done I make it work when you install the 5 elements of the first email, turn off wifi and launch the Dev assistant. When it ask to switch on wifi touch no, and close the app.
Now install the 2 remaining files of the second email.
Turn on wifi and Voila :ugeek:
My email client is gmail, outlook just display xml code.
