VHBL 3.18 on GO!sudoku EU test

Post by onizuka »

Hey guys I'm testing the GO!sudoku VHBL exploit and thought I would make a thread documenting information about it's current state as I go along in case anyone else would like to use this exploit or if it can help the wololo team in any way. anyway this is what I've gathered so far,

-launches fine, just need to choose your language then get past the start menu for it to automatically load VHBL
-chrono trigger on snes crashed during the first cutscene
-psp filer launches but the selection tool won't stop moving and selecting things. nearly impossible to use as a result
-psplorer works fine or deleting, creating new files or file directories cause the application to freeze on a black screen.
-tried copying eboot files to the /PSP/GAME directory to be able to take advantage of the PS1 tekken 2 exploit however it refuses to do so giving me the message "ZB_TARGET_CREATE" which I don't understand.

that's all for now, my primary goal is to figure out how to get games compatible with the PS1 exploit using VHBL so the next updates will most likely be concerning that.

I have the same problem with PSP Filer, but the gpSP emulator is working fine.

Hoping someday TN-V will be ported for this game!

you mean when you open VHBL? if so then you just need to download and copy compatible HB using CMA the same way you copied VHBL

Yes but how to copy it? DO I drop it to the save dir as I did with VHBL? Should be in some dir or something?

How do you add roms to the snes emu? Did everything according to the viewtopic.php?f=53&t=33989 but my cma skips every INSTALL.zip that i modified. Still I can install prepacked hombrews from VHBL homebrew thread.
UPD: Fixed it. Renamed INSTALL.zip to INSTALL.ZIP and it copied normally.

I wouldnt say that compatibility is bad either. Tried MD (PicoDrive, Comix Zone), SNES (Snes9xTYL, Link to the past), NES (NesterJ, Adventure Island), GBA (gPSP, Shaman king 2), GBC (Masterboy, Pokemon Crystal). Although it was just a fast test everything worked fine for me.

I tried it, it works fine but also lacks the ability to copy the PS1 eboots to /PSP/GAME and also crashes when trying to create a folder there.
