same thing happened to me with 101 and had to do a full reset, but works fine after that.gmdfunk wrote:I have a Vita 1000 with 3.01 and the Numblast exploit. I updated from TN-V8 to TN-V9 via wifi, the updater ran and then I ended up frozen at a black screen. i waited for a while and then killed the exploit game. when I tried to go back into the exploit to restart TN-V9 the vita hung and I eventually had to do a full restart. however now it seems as though TN-V9 is installed and working.
Has anyone else had this sort of experience updating where first the XMB freezes on a black screen, then upon trying to restart TN-V, a full vita reset is needed?
How can I be sure that the upgrade finished all the way? should I delete it all and try to manually install TN-V9? or does the crashing happen after the update is finished?

Re: [RELEASE] 6.60 TN-V9
It looks like for most games sound is somewhat working but there's slowdown during gameplay. A few games do completely crash. So PEOPS is running as emulation at the same time as popsloader(ps1 emulation) and I wonder if that is causing the performance hit. That the psp can't handle both running at once. I'm hoping it becomes more optimized but I wonder if that's possible without using something from the vita's own processes outside the psp emulator?Rinnegatamante wrote:ATPro is a subplugin of PRO-C and, currently, Coldbird left scene so i think you will never see a PSVITA porting (cause ATPRO is not open source). Coldbird was working on a porting but he never released it (instead, Coldbird was also working on PEOPS porting which Total_Noob now realised).
Still it's a great release and a select few games are full speed.

I've sent you a PM regarding a crash I've been experiencing.Total-Noob wrote:Anybody experiencing issues in the updater should contact me
I've also noticed that if you press select while TN-V is booting, it'll sometimes cause the game to crash as well.

Re: [RELEASE] 6.60 TN-V9
New update available!
[spoiler]Changelog TN-V9.5:
* Added 'Blue Screen Of Death' technology. If your PS Vita crashes, this screen will appear and you can restart TN-V by pressing START.
The crash information will be written to the savedata folder (exception.txt), so make sure that you copy the savedata from PS Vita -> PC and
report this crash. With this enabled you don't need to hard-reset your PS Vita anymore.
* Added possibility to disable PEOPS SPU plugin.
* Added 'SPU update mode' and 'SPU thread priority' options. Play with these options and maybe your PS1 game will run more fluid.
* Fixed 'white noise' in some PS1 games -> enhanced PS1 compatibility.[/spoiler]

Re: [RELEASE] 6.60 TN-V9.5
Downloading now.
Realised what I was doing wrong with regard to updating via Internet. I was trying to put a WEP key in but my router is actual set to WPA-PSK.
Downloaded and installed.
Thanks a bunch TN.
