Accidentally installing a permanent CFW on an incomp 2001

Post by shkaduw »

I was installing a CFW and I had read that you are able to install a permanent CFW on some 2001 machines. I had tried so and it's all gone wrong. There's an incredible delay in everything I do and the load times for any menus are extremely long. There's also a visual "glitch" where the pictures flashes up and down. I had attempted to reinstall firmware but the system is currently 6.60 and I haven't had any luck with anything else. What can I do?

The cIPL installer will not run if it detects you are using a PSP that is not compatible so I highly doubt that its the problem, Sounds more like you have a failing PSP or lots of plugins/heavy ctf theme

I had honestly just bought the PSP and haven't installed anything else on this. This is only happening after I had attempted/installed the permanent CFW.

Actually it could be the memory stick or the card reader, That unfortunately would be a hardware problem and as such I have no idea

Apparently, according to this http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstat ... 82/?page=1, the permanent CFW screws with the clock speeds and I had ti simply change it back

===========

Thanks anyway though!

Are you sure? I had happened to me and apparently to the people on gamespot. Well whatever, I'm happy it's working now.
