If you don't mind, a couple of questions:katsu wrote: 1- dump 2.12 fw 2- update 3.01 fw
3- dump 3.01 fw 4. write 2.12fw on eMMC SD
5- boot 3.01 fw 6- eMMC SD reader on eMMC SD
7 -boot 2. fw 2.12fw
psvita 2.fw opening 10minute very slow reading
Thank you yifan lu for all information
Did you have to cut connection to internal NAND to derive it to the external eMMC? Or you didn't boot from external, just re-copied 2.12 dump to internal?
Did you connect only 1 bit or all 4 bits?
Thanks.

yifan and katsu need to work together more often.

I would think you'll have to either make a switch to use SD rather than eMMC; because if you just connect it in parallel you have three things connected together: SoC, eMMC, and your SD card. Any one device trying to send data would arrive at the other two. It would be really confusing to the system and fill it with noise.DS_Marine wrote:If you don't mind, a couple of questions:katsu wrote: 1- dump 2.12 fw 2- update 3.01 fw

Also, in theory (if any chinese manufacturer wants to do this) if someone makes an easy adapter that "clips" on to the tiny 0.5mm resistors, you can potentially get all 8-bits working and have very fast read and write speeds without any soldering.

So what you're saying is Undiluted Platinum V2!?yifanlu wrote:-snip-

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. But problem is worse than noise, you simply don't connect 2 outputs together because when one drives output to 0 and the other to 1, you are basically connecting vdd to vss and one of the two may get damaged.yifanlu wrote: I would think you'll have to either make a switch to use SD rather than eMMC; because if you just connect it in parallel you have three things connected together: SoC, eMMC, and your SD card. Also if he restored the old image to internal NAND it wouldn't call it a 'dual boot'. That's what I'm trying to find out.

Same here. Wouldn't that just be a re-flash or NAND restoration?DS_Marine wrote: Also if he restored the old image to internal NAND it wouldn't call it a 'dual boot'. That's what I'm trying to find out.

Re: Psvita Dual-FW Boot (POC)
he did not flashed it back, he made the psvita read the nand from an sd card...
