Is there a GBA emu that supports turbo mode/frameskip?

Post by tr4g- »

Just realized Masterboy has a turbo mode (R+Square) that can be set from 0-40 frames! This had made my pokemon training much faster lol. Does anyone know if there is a gba emulator that supports thus? From my understanding gpsp does not. Does the kai or -j spinoff. Support this? If not, any other lesser know emus?

Thanks!

Pretty sure gpSPmod has fast-forward, which gpSP-J lacks. No idea about other versions.

Scoped it out and it seems to just make it choppy. Doesn't actually speed the game up. It's a frame skip option. Doesn't have the same effect as master boys turbo at all. Thanks for the suggestion though!!

You sure? Cause when I use it, I go at least 3 times faster.

I didn't change any settings except the controls. I set square to fast forward. Are you using the same one as me? The one with a cat holding a GBA.

On wow, no I don't think so. Because mine just has frameskip settings. Can you post the name of yours? I'm very interested!

ok, update: I found a copy of it, not sure if its the updated one but here is it for those interested

[Removed by Mod]

pass: PspVideoBoy

looks like the -j versions, so i'm going to check out the most recent one of those and see if it supports this as well. And yes, the fast forward works perfectly

thanks!

also, turns out the most recent gpsp-j does indeed have the fast forward option. As a matter of fact...so does the regular gpsp! However, on the regular gpsp, the FF function is broken and doesn't seem to actually work. I briefly tested the -j version and that works perfectly. So for now, ill be using -j as I assume it is a more recent update of the cat emu one (linked in quote)

to enable, simply set fastforward to a shortcut in the gamepad input section
