hmm must be related to that %99 error
ok I think it can still be fixed but we will need a Pandora and Magic Memory stick

now since you have a 1k the PSP itself can convert your battery into a Pandora battery

first try running LME, its a "Temp" version of ME for use with the non CIPL-PSP's(3k/Go)
http://www.qj.net/psp/firmware/psp-cfw- ... eased.html

if that works use the HC Recovery Flasher to make make the Pandora battery
(I think its the last option before exit)

once you have that run DCv8
http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applicati ... io-v8.html

instructions are on the download page but what you want is
- Create new idstorage (in nand operations menu, idstorage tools)

This function destroys the current idstorage (if any), and creates a new one.
It is useful when your idstorage has been corrupted and you didn't have a backup like hapenned to me with one psp :)

hmm well thats no good

ok lets try a HEN this time
all we need is something to let us run the Recovery Flasher to make the pandora battery

http://dl.qj.net/psp/firmwares/hen-for-660.html

same as before just place in PSP/GAME and run it

that is very strange indeed >__<
do you have access to another PSP? all you need is that Pandora battery and you can fix pretty much anything :/

I assume its a problem with the update messing up so something either did not install right or is corrupted
since nothing seems to work I think Pandora is the only way

but lets just hope im wrong and someone posts a solution ^__^

A pandora battery lets the PSP startup by reading files from the memory stick instead of the internal flash
so with it you can fix nearly any problem ^__^

to make one you have two options
  • 1. use a homebrew on the PSP to convert its battery

    2. open the battery and mess around with its board
only 1k and very early 2k PSP can make the battery via homebrew

did you try it on a emulator? because if all failed, (to get the MMS 5.00 file/DIR)
100% crash and the heat with Firmware is up
and no choice to open up and take off a prog on battery...
or then you can use rain MMS maker, (PC application) to make a unbreaker.

and well you have a phat psp and uses a phat battery,
theres info on how to make your battery to pandora by opening the plastic and scratch off one of the progs,
do's the 5.00 downgrader work??!?!
if it do's not then do the first option (makeing a pandora battry).

I would not recommend hard-modding a battery to pandora. Either buy one or try and convert it by soft-modding.

If you want to buy one then this battery is good! I have about 5 of them lol.
