How to - Permanent CFW on 9g PSPs

Hi guys! This is a quick tutorial on how to downgrade the 9g 3000er PSP's (not PSP Street or 7gs) to OFW 6.20 and install the permanent patch of 6.20 PRO CFW. Motherboard chart: [spoiler][/spoiler]
in order to find out your motherboard just search for "PSP Everest" on Google. It'll show you all of your PSP's hardware when you launch it on it.


Steps:
1. Download davee's Chronoswitch Downgrader v5 Link: [spoiler]http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applicati ... er-v5.html[/spoiler]
2. Download either the UMD- or the GO! Version of 6.20 OFW from the PRO CFW's installation section page

3. Download Coldbird's PRO CFW for Ver 6.20 OFW and extract the folders

4. Plug your PSP into USB and drag the folders into your PSP's GAME Folder

5. Launch the Chronoswitch Downgrader on the PSP and select "Install Version 6.20" [spoiler]/!\WARNING!! DO TO SECURITY REASONS THE SETTINGS (BROWSER-HOMEPAGE, ETC. IN THE FLASH1 WILL NEED TO BE DELETED AFTER LAUNCH!!![/spoiler]
6. Congrats! You are on 6.20 OFW now launch either the PROUPDATE or the TN HEN installer and install the permanent patch

7. There you go! Permanent CFW on your 9g PSP! Enjoy



Note: In "System information" it'll probably say Model: 4g now instead of 9g if you are using a newer PSP 3000/GO. That's because the downgrader changed your PSPs Model setting in the flash0 in order to bypass the function which before prevented you from downgrading to 6.20 OFW. I just use a MAC Adress-Spoofer for this.

What is the difference bewtween TA95 07g and 09g?Because it is the same mobo but one can be downgraded nut the other can't.

The 07g, 09g, whatever, is kinda a note which "drivers" should be used for this PSP.

01g is 1000, 02g is 2000, etc.


The real difference between 07g and 09g isnt known yet, but the chronoswitch downgrader does only allow 09g PSPs to be downgraded to 04g Firmwares.


BTW: Only 3000s can be 07g or 09g. The PSP Go is ALWAYS 05g. And its not recommended to downgrade 09g PSPs to the 6.20, the firmwares is instabil, buggy and wasnt made for the device.
