Have you found a way?
I'll try to update Windows 7 32bit in case...
I am using Parallels Desktop for OSX (which is a more advanced virtual machine) and Open CMA works perfectly
Thanks for the confirmation. I too use Parallels Desktop v7 (thinking of upgrading to v8) with multiple versions of Windows from XP to Windows 8. Nice to know that I would be able to run this. I joined this forum for the game but it seems these forums could be very helpful. Thanks.

([phpBB Debug] erase my message... too tired to retype it!)

I found drivers on different sites but no one is official (it seems to be PSM drivers), tired to install, uninstall, boot, reboot... I abandon but if someone has a clear idea to what to do to solve this problem of drivers, welcome!

Well i noticed that when you start the Content manager on the Vita itself the virtual machine then picks up the device. So what i did was tell Virtual Box to mount the Vita in the virtual machine. it only had a quick window of about a few seconds on my machine but when it's done properly Windows should then begin to install the proper Drivers from Open CMA. I was then able to back up and transfer content without a internet connection.
Devices
HTC EVO LTE running CM10
PS Vita OFW

With today's 2.05 announcement, any news on an Open CMA for Mac OS?

I use VMWare personally, but I know several other users that dont have the space/setup to run a Windows install alongside their regular OS.

I do not know nothing of cracking/ reverse engine or wherever ... only know a bit of ruby/perl/c++

I am following this guide to hack a mac app:

http://www.mrspeaker.net/2011/01/06/mac-hacking/

And found out the name of the function that checks the firmware version:
_ZN14MsvApplication12VersionCheckERK9XpStringTIcE

I am stuck because i do not know nothing of assemply but look what I did so far:

Code: Select all

ricardos-MacBook:crack ricardo$ gdb /Applications/CMA.app/Contents/MacOS/CMA

(gdb) break _ZN14MsvApplication12VersionCheckERK9XpStringTIcE

also there is this function:
_ZNK14MsvBrowserCore11GetVitaInfoEv

For me it is a lot of nothing but maybe some dev could find it useful.

My idea is to use gdb and set the some variable to 2.05 like the guy from the guide set the variable set $eax=1.
I would like to make the function VersionCheck always return 2.05

Please do let me know if you manage to modify the dmg and compile a working open CMA for Mac. I think a lot of people would be happy. Lol.
