A little oddity about the group messaging and ps+

I'm still on firmware 2.02 and what do I notice? For some reason group messaging still works and doesn't even worry about the firmware. I can still receive messages and send and such. As for PSPLUS, It still downloads updates (got the youtube update from it) :lol:

What do these go through other than the sony servers I wonder?

Maybe it bypasses the prompt it gives you to update,i could use chat as well without update but didnt know about the auto update.
