BANNED from PSN. can this be undone?

Postby Peleep » Thu Dec 27, 2012 2:40 pm

hi guys

I've just discovered that I've been banned from my PSN account. Is this a life time ban or can it be undone some how?

I think I was banned because I tried out CFW on my PS3. Silly boy... now I can't log into PSN on my Vita to get any games. Any tips/advice?

Do i start a new PSN account...which means I think I will lose all my game saves etc on my current memory stick. :-(

Pretty sure Sony were issuing a lot of console bans to people using CFW. So it may more than likely be a console ban so you may never get to use PSN on that PS3 again.

Try making a new account and see if you can sign in with it, if not, then you may have been console banned.

As for losing game saves, you can just resign them to your new account using some PS3 save game tools.
PSP 1000 32GB PRO-HG Duo TA-082 6.60 CFW ME 1.8 and (L)CFW PRO-C fix3 + TM and DDC v8/v9 Mod
PSP 1000 8GB PRO-HG Duo TA-079 5.00 CFW M33-6 + Fix, TM and DDC v8/v9 Mod
PS Vita 32GB 3g + Wi-fi PCH-1103 2.02 OFW ARK eCFW

This is what you need if you are on a CFW ps3.

http://www.ps3news.com/ps3-hacks-jailbr ... -released/

This WONT unban your account, it only unbans your PS3 console not the account being used with it.

Note: If your account got banned it wasn't because of using CFW (as that only happens to consoles not the PSN's), so basically you were either cheating/hacking or using a mod.

Also DO NOT play Black Ops 2, as their servers can detect if you are using a pirated copy of the game or not, and they will give your console id to Sony, and Sony will ban your console, so do not play Black Ops 2.

So I've set up a new PSN account with a new email address. When i try to sign-in with this new account on my Vita, it says I must sign-in with the account that is associated with this Vita system.

When i go into settings and PS Network, the only option available to choose from is to sign-in using the old PSN account (the one that's banned)

Does that mean i must format the memory card, and therefore lose all of my saves :-(

Buy a new memory card in order to use your vita for another account, insert the mc, do a vita system restore, format the mc, sign-in with the new id[...]

but to do so, I will have lost my saves ...is that correct? Or can I backup, then restore after the format?

I've spent hours and well progressed on a couple of games....so i don't want to have to start from scratch!!!!
