Re: CMA for OSX running on 1.8+ firmware without update prom
Confirm to work on 1.81 and 2.0 has been released. I have not tested an updated version of CMA though. Will test when I get back home.

Re: [2.0(^^)b]CMA for OSX running on 1.8+ FW w/o update prom
I will when I can get a hold of a program for windows that creates a localhost. Your better off using Charles since your going to be using a third party application. This method is for OSX users cause there isn't an openCMA made for OSX.MaxiExtreme wrote:Any TUT for windows 7 ?

TinyUmbrella (used for iPhone) has a host thing.
edit the Hosts file located here C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

It won't work for the purpose of tricking your vita to install any higher firmware from your psvita current. TinyUmbrella broadcast from your /.shsh library. You can give it a try but I highly doubt it cause tiny umbrella fake out gs.apple.com and not psn servers

This works for 2.02.
I have forgotten to add one more step to the tutorial.
you must move the folder from the desktop to the localhost folder.
/Library/WebServer/Documents/

for Windows you can use "Abyss web server" or just the built in Windows server "IIS".

Re: [2.02(^^)b]CMA for OSX/WIN7 on Any FW w/o update prompt
It did not work with me on Mac OS X 10.7.5
I got the error on vita: C3-14978-9
The hosts file is ok and the apache is running.
ricardos-MacBook:us ricardo$ pwd
/Library/WebServer/Documents/update/psp2/list/us
ricardos-MacBook:us ricardo$ ls -lsh
total 16
8 -rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 963B 6 Mar 11:40 psp2-updatelist-202.xml
8 -rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 963B 6 Mar 11:49 psp2-updatelist.xml
ricardos-MacBook:us ricardo$ cat /private/etc/hosts | grep update
127.0.0.1 fus01.psp2.update.playstation.net
When I put the fus01.psp2.update.playstation.net on webbrowser I see my localhost page.
Some ideia?
thanks

Re: [2.02(^^)b]CMA for OSX/WIN7 on Any FW w/o update prompt
I found out
I did comment the entry in the host file
and download a updated xml from
http://fus01.psp2.update.playstation.ne ... telist.xml
And edited every 2.05 or 02.050.000 to 2.02 and 02.020.000
I did uncomment the hosts file and it did work
(I got the first ps2-updatelist_202.xml from a topic in this forum. But it was outdated)
Thanks! Now I will delete my freaking VM with windows!

Re: [2.02(^^)b]CMA for OSX/WIN7 on Any FW w/o update prompt
nice to hear that you got it fixed. i was about to mention that it could be your xml file but you got it working so Good Job. Hopefully later I can find out if we can get access to PSN via Hosts(very unlikely) but its just a dream at this point until then
