VitaUpdate Alarm v1.0

Postby berto1989 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 2:39 pm

Sorry if it is not the right place to post this

Hi, today like so many other days, I was looking from the update to the ps vita to v1.8, and to make it easy I decided to make a program that let me know whether the new version came out.

This program minimizes itself to the taskbar and check every 5 seconds if a new version came out.

If a new version came out, a pop up alerts you and an alarm starts until you stops it ;) .

Nice idea. Just curious, how is it exactly that you check for new versions?

 Not even the most annoying Microsoft updater doesn't do this.
Anyways, I'll lmao if a Sony update server (assuming that's what you check) crashes because a sufficient number of people use your alarm.

So are you waiting to play games from an 18 year old console that the PSP will always do better through POPs?(or Until a kernel exploit comes out for the Vitas psp emulator)
Or the next VHBL?

you have no idea what your talking about do you ?

pops is Sony's PS1 emulator for the PSP and all PSN PS1 games always work on the latest OFW
the only reason popsloader exists is because the custom PS1 eboots we make will sometimes only work right on a curtain pops version

so no the PSP will not "do it better"
once we have more control over the Vita it will be far superior to the PSP in all aspects

BTW there is some PS1 games I have not played in years that im looking forward to playing again

Alarm=Good idea.

I rather not turn on my vita since I hate it so much, this helps a lot.

I bought many PS1 (PSP too but PSN hardly has any of the games I bought >.<) games for my PSP so I will start my system up when 1.80 comes out.

I hope you just mean you won't go online with your Vita :D otherwise why won't you turn your Vita on xD

Nothing could happend even if you go online with your Vita. If there's an Update available and you will start some App's while you using WLAN, the Vita would ask you to update. So please, just use your Vita ;) and stop being worried about updates.

5 seconds is way too short, make it more like 5 minutes or sony might notice and block you for spamming.
