Missing & or Stuck PIXEL(S)?

News, rumors, anything you want to discuss about Sony's latest portable console

I have read somewhere that with OLED displays, the material used to produce blue light degrades faster than the materials used to produce the red and green light...

Are you using the blue theme on your XMB? If so maybe this is the first sign of your blue pixels degrading?

Just a thought...

I have a stuck blue pixel on my PSP. NOTHING was able to fix it; I tried different versions of the 'stuck pixel fixer' video, and the single-pixel fixer HB program for the PSP. Still blue after all these years. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did using that video; keep us posted ;)

Hi, guys! Just wanted to inform you that I will be getting it replaced or "diagnosed" as I got in the email. Sony's sending me a box, so I can ship it to them. I will be VITA-less for about almost two weeks. They checked my warranty, and it's covered. What a relief ya?

I guess I'll have to live with it now, for Sony told me I gotta pay. IDK? First, they said I was in warranty. Then they said I gotta pay if I want it serviced and it's no under warranty any longer? I just told them, "you know what just send me my system back." They've wasted my time because I wouldn't even have to send it in the first place if it wasn't under warranty. This is fucked up. I paid $250 for a awesome portable device that I expect to be perfect when released to the public. Sony is beginning to get on my nerves.

Loop the video and let it play for hours...

It takes more then a few minutes...

I doubt you can use the pressure method because vita screen seems to be behind hard plastic.

The video color cycle method works you just have to leave it on a good while.

If your willing to open the case up...

get a pencil and use the eraser side.. put a couple pounds pressure on the stuck pixel.

cycle the screen on and off while doing so.

dead pixels are usually black..

stuck are usually red, green , or blue

    1. dont double post

    2. afaik its glass not plastic

    3. the OLED screen is glued to said glass so opening the Vita is just foolish and pointless

also remember that its not a LCD screen so the video might not work
(and afaik it doesn't)
