Do I need a psp

i was reading the tutorial on how to make your own psp savedata exploit and one of the requirments is to own a psp well all of mine are gone i just wanted to know if i really needed a psp to create an exploit couldnt i use jpcsp or somethin to test the exploit but with that is idk how to run the msdos bat file for jpcsp can someone help
