So I have PSP-2001 (don't have it on hand to check TA- number) that I put away for a while and didn't use. It was on CFW 5.50-M33. I picked up PSVita and wanted to get my PSP up to date so I can start some research into PSVita PSP emu (exploits, etc.) Anyway, I used hellcatz and Gen-D to get it to 5.50 OFW. Managed to boot it once on 5.50 OFW upgraded to 6.60 via network update. Once complete and it restarts PSP, green light comes on for 1 second then goes out. Doesn't boot. I am not too worried because I have hardmoded pandora (lifted the pin off the board only slightly so I can revert it to normal battery if needed, adding small dip switch would have been good idea) and can boot into 3.90-M33 or 1.50 OFW. I made this battery a while ago, haven't kept up with scene for a while. It's only 6.60 that semi-bricks the PSP. What I tried:
- Try booting 6.60 with both AC/Battery (it's not normal bat but I can convert it back as I have fat PSP with pandora as well): green LED comes on for 1 second then goes off
- Boot 5.50 OFW with both AC/Batter : same as above
- Boot 5.50 OFW with AC only : booted once but subsequent installs cause it to behave same as 6.60
- CFWs boot fine including 5.50-M33 that comes with hellcatz 1.65
Do I need to convert pandora to normal battery in order to even boot 6.60? It's not a big deal to convert it back, I can even get a spare, just trying to figure out if it's something I am doing wrong that's causing PSP to go semi-brick every time I install 6.60 update.
Any tips/help would be very much appreciated. @work right now so I'll try messing with it some more when I get home.
