Currently 6.60 PRO B-10. Upgrade/update to 6.60 PRO-Cfix3??

u probably hav read over and over not installing CIPL
but to some ppl here, hav not or not know how to install CFW on PSP or NEW TO PSP CFW like Mister Money here always came over to ask some advice something he doesnt know.

Thank you MrShyCity, as well as everyone else for their replies and being so helpful every time I have a "noob"/newbie question about CFW etc. I only got a PSP in 2008 and always saw people playing SNES NES etc etc GBA games on their PSPs, saying hacking/modding was easy. I never tried CFW because I was afraid of doing something wrong and ruining my PSP. Disturbed0ne was the one who inspired me to take a chance and I'm glad I did.

I think I will wait until something like PRO-C2 etc gets released before I update. I personally prefer not having to see the word "fix" in my (L)CFW version

You won't see "fix" in the firmware version, only (for exapmle) "6.60 PRO-C".

I like keeping up-to-date when I was using OFW, so the habit continues for CFW

Yeah, I understand. It would kind of bug me too if my firmware version was called "6.60 ME 1.8 fix 3".

:roll: It was only a few days ago that cIPL flashing actually bricked a PSP 2000 was it not?

well, that was a bug in CIPL (after a repo change by neur0n + popsdeco), which only bricked the hackable PSP (doesn't have anything to do with motherboard check).

As for the text being red, it's just silly that you're so upset over that... It did have the effect I wanted it to, which was to make it stand out so it was read.

There is now ''fix'' name on the CFW Name neither at install and neither at System Information ....
PS : Does PRO C fix3 have bugs ??

no, it shouldn't. 6.60 fix3 should be entirely bug free by now since it's been out for about 2 weeks, i think, and no more brick reports

it's safe
the problems are most on the CIPL Flasher of 6.60 & 6.39 but it's already fixed now
