the perma patch is ingenious.
its pretty much a full cfw, imho.

Wrong, it is just an autobooting LCFW, not more, not less!

With a full CFW you can modify the flash0 (nearly everything) and you can unbrick it via the recovery menu.
The last thing is possible with the perma patch too, but if the right file is corrupted, it isnt working at the perma patch anymore, but still working with cIPL CFW.


Actually there are just 3 things:

PSP with full cIPL CFW
PSP with LCFW/HEN
PSP with autobooting LCFW/HEN

(And PSP with OFW ^^)

DA's 1.50 POC uses fake vshmain in elf format renamed with a prx extension I know this coz I have DA's 1.50 POC Source code. And as long as you can run/running custom code in same kernel space as OFW it is in fact a CFW... in my opinion

He might be too young to remember hah. Yeah, CFW was defined back in those days and it was a "perma-patch". Pandora is service mode, custom IPL is a "perma-patch" too.

Perma Patch HEN is no different than a CFW so i like both as long as its permanent
