PSP 3000 Hacking capabilities

Hello,

I know there are tons of guides here for beginners explaining many different things in regards to hacking psp's, but I'm still lost.

I just have one question: To what extent can I hack my psp 3000 @ v6.60? I downloaded CFW PROMOD B10 6.60 and got some emulators on it so far, but what else can I do? Do I have to downgrade to a different firmware for more hacking capabilities?

I didn't think a search of the forums would bring any accurate results, so if there is an existing thread that already answers my question, then I'd be happy to read it.

all PSP's have the same capability these days well other then the CIPL which is still only for the 1k and early 2k
(but the 10sec it takes to start PRO/LME dose not bother me)

there is a permenent patch for 6.20 but mhe

you can use anything as long as its compatible with 6.60
(which darn near everything these days)

the kind of PSP you have is not really important anymore (well other then the 1k with its less RAM)

just don't mess with flash0 and the CIPL and you should be just fine

Speaking of compatibilty, a plugin which does NOT work on 6.60 is PSPconsole by Hotter, unfortunately. That is a very useful plugin I use on 5.00.

that plugin is old so it needs some updating


@dowz0r no you don't need to downgrade to a lower firmware

I just found out how to activate the CFW menu... Didn't know you just had to press select.
