Help ps vita in demo mode?

Can anyone help me out with this i bought a psp off craiglist its stuck in demo mode i am pretty sure this was a kiosk ps vita i tried everything to get it off i am unsucessful. I tried updating my firmware, rebuilding databse no luck so i am stuck with this beautiful piece of machinery and its stuck in demo mode...

Is there any chance i can unlock this???

I just want to be able to sign in psn and play there has to be a way around this please help me guys!!!

Do you mean this strange debug mode with the dolphins?

Graphic Test Mode

It will show some dolphins and a seashell. in this mode you can test the spotlight performance on the PS Vita.

To enable this mode: Turn off the device and then Hold Power + Volume -/+

To disable this mode: Holding Power + L + PS

I didn't know this even exsisted, :)
but only works untill FW. 1.50, wonder why they removed it.

So you think it's in kiosk mode? So you don't have settings icon or anything? How did you receive it? What did it come with?

Afaik are such kiosk devices just for big stores like ...

Saturn, Mediamarkt (german ones)
Best Buy (american ones)


... and not for private people, so it seems that you got stolen goods.

Exactly. So in my mind a bunch of questions come up. Like how does a kiosk vita get stolen anyway? And I always wondered how the demos were loaded onto them, game card? Memory card?

I really dont know how the kid stole it. It was my birthday and my brother bought this ps vita off some kid, then gave it to me and its stuck in demo mode i tried everything i guess im stuck with this.. it says demo mode on the bottom right....

the only thing i can see is the video bubble and that welcome tutorial and thats it any one have any ideas for me :cry:

I actually have a plan to buy a new one at walmart then do a swap and change both serials wut u guys think :twisted:

heeeeecks no. horrible idea. don't put your pain onto someone else. and at that, if you get caught. they'll assume you stole a demo vita. anyhow, how much are you out of the hole on this one? there's so many questions buzzing through my mind. but i'm not trying to barrage you.
