Skype release by Sony today.

You should always have low expectations for EVERYTHING Sony does. That way when they do something right, it'll seem like a miracle. I had high hopes for this app when I saw the pictures, but damn is this thing terrible. Can't even remove contacts, can't add, can't IM, video quality is terrible, voice chat is okay but I have a group chat with all of my friends.

If it was up to the Skype people, Microsoft would say hell no, since they own them in the first place. But Sony made that deal with the PSP and it must of carried over to the Vita. Also, look at the title under the Skype App's name. "Sony Computer Entertainment <insert region here>" not "Skype" or "Microsoft"

Sony made both the Facebook app and Skype app, with both companies permission of course. The only App that hasn't been made by Sony yet is Netflix.

It's just from my observation. If Skype did make it, then why doesn't Sony give them credit? Netflix was given credit for making their app. I don't see why Skype or Facebook would be any different unless Sony did make it.

For the most part, Skype Credit is only used by a few (Of course that few is in the millions out of 30+ million that are on skype). Also, this version has no ads. The iOS and Android versions have ads, both of which are made by the Skype company. Again, just my observations. I guess it wouldn't really matter to Microsoft if it was on there or not, since they're not in the handheld gaming department, but it does put a bad rep on the Skype company. Even if they made it or not, it had to of gone through them in the first place for them to approve of it.

(BTW according to Skype on PC the Vita one is not the latest Ver.)
(it said that I didnot have the latest ver. when I and a few friends tried to Video chat)
