Help me upgrade my CFW and activate WotL patch

I don't understand why nothing works for me. I copied both files into the root of the PSP. Attempted to load a corrupted file so I could press "+" and "-" together to bring up the MagicJack menu.....and it doesn't work. I give up and am going to bed. I appreciate all that you helped me with but I can't take this anymore. I wasted 10 hours the past 2 days messing around with this PSP BS.

You just need to familiarize yourself with how the PSP works and how programs/plugins work on it. You can't expect to know everything right off the bat.

Get some sleep and start fresh another day, your save data can be fixed, don't worry.

The 6.60 ME-1.8 is CFW right? What's the difference between OFW and CFW?

I just tried it again, using the livepatch folder you gave me and put in on the root of the memory stick. Then I remade a seplugins folder on the root of the memory stick with the correct game.txt code, and reseted the VSH. Still nothing.

You said earlier that livepatch wasn't showing up in your list of plugins when you were in the recovery menu. Is this still true? If so, do you have a file specifically in seplugins called game.txt that has the line for livepatch.prx? If so, have you tried renaming it to game (no .txt)? Some Windows configurations are stupid about this.

Yeah I still don't see anything under Plugins on the Recovery Menu. I've tried naming it game and game.txt too.

You'll NEVER have to name is game.txt (the only reason you see people typing it like that is to make sure you save it as a text document on your PSP)

Can you record a video of exactly what you're doing and put it on YouTube or something so I can see where you're messing up?

It really shouldn't be this hard for ANYONE to install a plugin on their PSP.

Nope, I use a CSO rip of the game as well. (I also use a patched CSO of 1.3.1.0 Insane Difficulty)

You're doing something wrong with enabling plugins.

Your game text file should look exactly like this (or you can just extract this one into your SEPLUGINS folder)

I downloaded your txt file and deleted the outer livepatch folder (the livepatch folder with fftpsp and the .prx was within another livepatch folder).

I can now delete the unstretch patch right now without it affecting right? I'm definitely not messing this up.

Yes you can delete the unstretch.live patch and the fast.live patch will function properly.
