Top Down Racing Beta 0.1 [RELEASED 11/12/2011]

Hi people, ive been working on and off of this homebrew for the past couple of weeks, so i thought it was now finaly ready for a Beta release.

Top Down Racing is a simple 2D top down car racing game.


Currently the only available game modes in Beta 0.1 are:

.multiplayer championship: You and a friend race through 5 tracks then find out who is the overall winner at the end.

.multiplayer drag race: The faster you tap the accelerator button, the faster you race down the dragstrip to the finish line.

Well... its not propper multiplayer, but its kinda share the PSP multiplayer if you get what im sayin

Share the PSP Multiplayer? Sorry, I'm confused. Do you mean it uses the PSPs Game Sharing feature to send data to another PSP? If so, awesome, if not, then maybe that could be a future feature possibly?

EDIT; I just saw the Controls section and think I know what you mean. Two players can play the game on the one PSP, correct?

This hb looks promising, although there's lots of room for improvement. I think if you add a bit more "realistic" physics it could become fun (cars don't "stop" when you stop going in one direction, they have inertia/acceleration. If you add that kind of logic, it will add some difficulty to the game. Then you can add collisions, and it starts becoming even more interesting )

Yep, i will hopefully be adding some more stuff to it when i get some time but at the moment it is the first beta and isnt really to "advanced", also il'll have to do quite a bit of testing with the logic.
