Should I trade my old 3DS for a New 3DS?
If they still give around $100 for the old one, I was thinking of trading my old 3DS for the New one, but I'm not sure if there is any disadvantages from doing that.

I have a New 3DS XL. I got to say it is a big improvement over the older 3DS. The 3D face tracking is really awesome on it. So I say get one it is worth it.
The Original 3DS XL I think you can get at least $75 or more out of it in trade at Gamestop still and the O3DS I think is around $45 to $50 in trade I think, but I could be wrong. Lol Sometimes Gamestop has get extra trade in credit towards stuff once in awhile.

If it were me, then i would have both because i have heavily relied on my pspgo when something is not compatible on the psvita. For example the pspgo was always able to play PS1 games and the psvita until recently could not. Another thing was using Adhoc file transfer from pspgo to psvita. My point is that old consoles always come in handy when you run into compatibility issues with the new console.

Thanks for the help.
I'm probably going to keep my old 3DS and buy a New 3DS when I get the chance.

I don't know if you've made your purchase or not yet. I am from the US currently living in Italy. I've just recently upgraded from the old 3DS to a New 3DS XL. This is my first experience with the XL size and honestly I can say while I appreciate the screen size, I hate the drop in picture quality. I just picked up the regular New 3DS as well and it is pretty awesome. The screen is a bit bigger than the old 3DS, 20%?, and has a nice matte finish. Add the swappable face plates to that and it is probably my favorite. Oh, though the stylus feels a bit thin and fragile. If possible I'd say grab the regular one and a flash card of some sorts so you don't get locked into needing to purchase EU games. I buy games for my sons US New 3DS XL so I don't feel overly bad downloading EU versions since Nintendo clearly refuses to make games region free. I have no idea why they decided against releasing the standard New 3DS in the US.
