Just got a 3DS XL for Xmas and wondering about Gateway

So I got a 3DS XL for xmas which I haven't opened as well as a regular 3DS I haven't touched for a long time still on 4.5 which I want to give to my fiance. But we're both broke and can't afford buying JP 3DS' etc to play certain games etc and was wondering about if ordering a Gateway is a good idea for 2 broke college students who want to play games together? Any advice? Also what FW should I expect on my 3DS xl? I can give serial #s. Thanks in advance!

Two broke college students? How can ya afford a Gateway? Go on MaxConsole.com and they will tell you everything need to know. As for the GW, the update is likely to be released by tomorrow. If your planning on importing a n3ds then you should get the Aussie version. It's more reliable. Your 3ds should be between FW 7.0-9.2. Anything above will not be supported and you'll probably have to wait a long time for any support.

I you want to play online, I think gateway is best idea than other any flashcard. But it need to update the system every nintendo release new firmware for 3DS. Just put your 3DS roms and enjoy it.
