(Help) Putting PS Plus games on to a jailbroken ps 3
I currently have a ps 3 super slim with ps plus games installed on it and I have games in my account that I havent downloaded because of no HD space. I am getting a hackable ps 3. I plan to upgrade that HD to a 1 TB and do a system transfer once its jailbroken. Is there anyway way to get the other games on my account on to the jailbroken ps 3? Thanks

For one, the terminology "jailbreaking" is incorrect for Playstation anything, but I'll take it to mean CFW.
If you install a CFW of 4.70 or 4.75, you can use PSNPatch (and a 4.75 spoofer if on 4.70) and access the store and such directly on the console. You can't auto sign in though.
You do, however, have to be aware of the dangers: Using anything unofficial while on PSN will probably get you banned, some games (such as CoD) will tattle on you if they see anything that looks like CFW...
It's simple, but be careful with it.

Is there any place I can get a list of what games will tattle on me?
I see they updated the OFW to 4.76 so I need to wait for an updated spoofer.
Im a newbie when it comes to CFWs on PS 3. When you say using anything unoffical you are talking about any backups correct?

Yes he's talking about backups. And from the research I've personally done on JB PS3's, basically every popular FPS will tattle on you. Stay far away from CoD, GTA and Battlefield especially. Usually though it's pretty safe to just connect to PSN, download your games and disconnect. I used to use the dualboot firmwares since I was super paranoid and each time I used it I was just fine.thegameksk wrote:Is there any place I can get a list of what games will tattle on me?

If I had games like those that were on an external and I disconnected it before I logged on would that work?

Last I checked most uses of PS3 CFW is backups and last I heard legitimate copies of said FPS games will still tattle on you.HarmfulMushroom wrote:Yes he's talking about backups. Could be wrong, and if so my apologies, but that's my understanding.

Everyone online says if you want to be as safe as possible make sure you clear plugins and everything that runs at bootup. I'm not the best person to ask about this as I haven't connected my JB PS3 to PSN using any firmware besides the dualboot firmware. Everyone says it's fine so long as you don't really have any plugins running or are running pirated copies of any game but there is always going to be a chance. If oyu want to be extra extra safe you could always format your hard drive before connecting.thegameksk wrote:If I had games like those that were on an external and I disconnected it before I logged on would that work?
Pretty sure you're right, I think they have functions built into their games which scan your hard drive for popular homebrews such as multiman and showtime. If I recall correctly.dkabot wrote:Last I checked most uses of PS3 CFW is backups and last I heard legitimate copies of said FPS games will still tattle on you.
