How to bypass PS3 Rebuild File System after a power outage/t

Post by nightnero253 » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:12 pm

Are you tired of your ps3 trying to rebuild the file system after a power outage or just plain old turning it off wrong, follow by having to keep formatting and losing precious data? Most of you may know of this solution, but I would just like to help those that do not know!

1. Completely turn off your ps3 system.
2. Remove your hard drive.
This is where some of you may be out of luck!!! You must have a spare 2.5 inch sata hard drive, any gigabyte size will work!
3. Inset a different hard drive, the ps3 will format it.
4. After step 3 is complete, turn off the ps3 again and remove the "new" hard drive and put your normal one back in.
5. Your ps3 will now boot up with out trying to rebuild the file system.

Hope this helps those in need of a fix!
