If you use ps3Xport directly through command line, you can place several games in the HDD backup at one, here is the reference:

About 4.70, it seems Sony didn't patch our backup plan. So yeah, PSP ISO loading still works on OFW 4.70, even if you don't know your IDPS. Gonna update the tutorials...

Edit: Both videos are now updated with annotations for OFW 4.70 who can't dump their IDPS. I had assumed Sony would have somehow patched this workaround, but it still works ^_^"...

So I've been playing around with this a little bit, and I'd like some clarification. So because this all runs on OFW, no signature checks are defeated and thus everything that's installed still needs to be properly signed, right? I tried installing some .pkg homebrew but it gave me an error as it's not signed for above 3.55 (I assume), so I tried signing it using scetool and it still didn't work so I imagine there's some check I'm missing. But then installing a PSP iso using this method works perfectly fine. How come that can boot, how is it passing the signature checks? It's already signed? Does installing PSN games work the same way, or are they not signed either?

And I'm fairly certain I know the answer but you couldn't use this method to install CFW, right? Maybe not at the moment but in the future?

pkg homebrew -> EBOOT.BIN where its npdrm signature is checked wont work on OFW >3.60

psp/ps1/ps2 -> dont have any ps3 EBOOT.BIN to verify the signature and are running via OFW emulators,

btw did anyone get this working on english patched ff type-0 ? i think the tools are too buggy to work with it, jp works tho.

Is there a way to do this by just connecting the internal HDD to a caddie without doing all the backing up etc? my spare HDD went into my 12GB PS3 and its got a load of game installed like MGS so i can't use any usb thumb drives.

English patched Type-0 does works, just as good as on PPSSPP (and with 3D!). It just needs a fix on a couple of syscalls. I understand the Spanish translation team will be releasing a fix for this next month, here is a test one member did:

afaik this was running as iso via webman/multiman/cobra, not as directly converted EBOOT.PBP via psp2ps3 etc. :(

Conversion also works, the key to make it work are those hacked syscalls. (Well... Size matters too, but lowering it is trivial).

PS2 only for backward-compatible PS3s I assume? Can you run/create fake PS2 classics this way?

i only encountered bugs in conversion tools due to the bigger size for the eboot.pbp fake_np cant handle as well is creating hashes wrong. (iso.bin)

well i think you can generate one with valid rif etc. for non-bc, like regular ps2 classics
