How to Safely Go Online with PS3 CFW

Post by holypower » Sun Jul 20, 2014 12:25 pm

WARNING: These methods are the preventive measure to greatly reduce the risk of being banned from Sony. However, there's no way these methods will ensure 100% no ban risk, so please proceed at your own risk.

METHOD 1:
This method will teach you how to sign in using your psn account and how to load your game without raising suspicion to Sony.

Requirements:
1) PSN account,
2) Newest version of CFW (the same version with the latest OFW),
3) Internet connection.

Steps:
1) Turn off the Automatic Update. (Settings > System Settings > Automatic Update > Off)
2) Set up the PS3 internet connection. (Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings)
3) Try to sign in to PSN, and uncheck the "Sign In Automatically". (PSN > Sign In)
4) Please pay attention to not run any homebrew app that is not part of PS3 original app after signed in to PSN.
5) Proceed to disable the internet connection and get signed out from PSN automatically. (Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection > Disabled)
6) Now, you can open the necessary homebrew app and load your game.
7) After the game is loaded, enable the internet connection and sign in to PSN again.
8) Happy playing online!
9) If you want to change game, press "PS button", go to [PSN > Account Management > Sign Out], then [Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection > Disabled].

Note:
The bottom line is don't run any homebrew app when you are signed in to PSN.

METHOD 2:
This method will add additional preventive measure to avoid raising Sony suspicion to you.

Additional Requirement:
1) Latest version of SEN ENABLER. (current version 5.5.1 -> www.mediafire.com/?drbzdlolbjm2ecd)

Install Steps:
1) Look for file "SEN ENABLER [version].pkg" and copy to a USB flash drive.
2) Plug the USB flash drive to your PS3.
3) Install the SEN ENABLER. (Game > Install Package Files > SEN ENABLER [version].pkg)

Steps:
1) Disable the PS3 internet connection. (Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection > Disabled)
2) Disable all Debug options if you're on Rebug CFW, otherwise ignore this.
3) Load SEN Enabler.
4) Enable SEN access (SQUARE) and proceed to automatic restart. (if you're on lower CFW firmware than the current OFW, this will spoof your machine to latest firmware)
5) Load your game.
6) Load SEN Enabler again.
7) Choose R2 button to delete the history files in your machine.
8) Choose R1 button and then choose R2 to change to OFW mode. (All homebrew disabled)
9) Exit SEN Enabler.
10) Enable the PS3 internet connection.
11) Sign in to PSN and happy online!

How to disable the SEN ENABLER.
Steps:
1) Load SEN Enabler.
2) Disable SEN access (SQUARE).
3) Choose R1 button and then choose R1 to change to CFW mode. (All CFW functions restored)

Additional Info:
If you have problems mounting games with multiMAN while SEN Enabler is used, follow these steps:
Steps:
1) Launch multiMAN.
2) Go to "Settings > BD-ROM Emulator".
3) Set "Enable".
4) Go to "multiMAN > Restart" and select Yes.
5) Now you can mount your games again.
