After a long pause I back to work on the "ready-to-play distro" and now it's almost ready to release.
But it needs some testing and tuning.

Some details:
  • Completely configuration-free, you only need burn it as usual live usb image
  • Works on PC (boot as live usb) and PS4
  • LXDE desktop (windows-user-friendly)
  • Installed steam
  • Installed some emulators
  • Requires USB 2.0 8gb+ flash drive
And it works ONLY on 1.76 FW
Is anybody want test it?

Post your request here and I'll send you torrent and instructions (how to burn it on usb-stick).
Video will be uploaded tomorrow and public release will be in next few days (after some testing).

This version not suitable for everyday use. It can reduce your usb flash lifespan because ext4 uses journaling.

Please DO NOT SHARE this torrent and do not make any youtube videos with this version. Release version coming in next few days, and it will be more functional and suitable for everyday use. And you can share it as you like.

Instructions:
WINDOWS

Download and unpack the image (How to Download Torrents Using uTorrent)

Use a program that can write dd-images. My choice is rufus.

Use settings as pictured below
Image

Locate ps4_linux_test.img and press Start

OS X
Download and unpack the image

Open Terminal

Type diskutil list

Locate your usb disk by size
It's should be /dev/diskX
Image
In this case X = 1

Type sudo dd if=path/to/ps4_linux_test.img of=/dev/rdiskX bs=1m

Enter your password and wait for some time.

LINUX
Download and unpack the image
Open Terminal

Locate your usb disk using lsblk or Disks
It's should be /dev/sdX

Type sudo dd if=path/to/ps4_linux_test.img of=/dev/sdX bs=1m

Enter your password and wait for some time.

NEXT STEP
Insert prepared usb stick into your ps4 and use Magic DNS (fastest) or any other way to boot linux.
All done. Password for root and ps4 is 1
Also, you can boot this distro on PC as any other live usb (F8 when boot logo appears).

Some problems:
USB 3.0 doesn't work
18 sec delay on boot (will be removed in release version)
Wifi and BT doesn't work

Can you take a photo or record video of this problem?
Problem appears on your PC or PS4?
Boot process on PS does not require any actions (until logon screen). What "required commands on Linux kernel" did you mean?

8 gb and 16 gb. Both works fine with same image.

USB 3.0 may not work, but any usb 2.0 8GB+ should be fine.

Can you repeat boot problem? Or it's gone?
...boot pen drive on your PC?
...launch some games on PCSX-R? (PS emu)
