Unfortunately needs to be done every time. Updating the hosts file on your router is pretty easy and makes this very simple to do, but if you don't want to update hosts you need to go through all the listed steps each time to get to google.

And yes, doing this will get you to the PS4-Playground page which is all we have access to at this point.

My PS4 is on fw 1.52 and i have buy last week (inside Hdd 0 game or update) and 0 appli

Do you have a method for fix ? I can t used ps4files browser .

You have to use the fw v1.76 as CTurt's code have some hardcoded values that will work only on that version. When I got my PS4 I had that same version (1.52) and I updated to 1.76 using the PS4UPDATE.PUP file (You can get it from here http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/1.760.000 ) and this method https://www.playstation.com/en-us/suppo ... stallation . Please make 500% sure that you download the update file from the psdevwiki link and not from sony or you may end with a 3.15 fw! Good luck

This is to access a web browser on an old firmware PS4. For people who have 1.76 and want to run linux basically.

I don't know what im doing wrong. What network setting should i be using? I put in my network settings to be able to access the internet. But when i click on the user manual it is a plain white screen. The PS4 is asking me to update to 3.5. Help please.

You should remove downloaded update from downloads and disable automatic update in settings menu.
Then try set all network settings to: automatic, do not use, etc. Enter only access point name and your password.

Then repeat first or second method described in the first post.
