Tutorial: How to mute any headset mic on PS4

So sometimes it happens that you don't want your voice to reach other players and you are playing online games. But then if you like me have headset with no on/off mic switch(apple earpods or some headphone with no mute switch connected through DS4) and want to mute your own microphone then there is a way around to mute the mic from your side.

Steps:
1. On the home screen go to the function area ie. The upper menu where friends and notifications are.
2. Select "Party" press X

3. Select "Create a party" press X (You don't need to invite friends to do this)

4. After creating a party highlight your own player name and press "Option" DS4 (A on the image)
5. Then mute your microphone by pressing X on mute and you are good to go.
