The PS4 with all its capabilities, sometimes needs the most secure and fast internet connection in order to fully enjoy this next-gen device.
what you should do in order to grasp the most out of your slow internet connection (like me) is to:
1). Make sure that all other applications on the PS4 are closed.

Go to your PS4 settings>network and click on TEST INTERNET CONNECTION,if your like me and have an internet download rate of 8 Mbps go on all mobile devices used in household, make sure to turn them off. The number should slightly increase, if it does then you know your on the right track, if it dosent work, try it again and follow along if issue still occurs.

[/spoiler]3). If you can place the modem as close to the PS4 as possible, as to insure that the download speeds would increase, because air is not conductive for the connection.
4) Try connecting a LAN cable and I assure you that you will see results within 2 minutes.

5). I wouldnt suggest using remote play or second screen while attempting these steps as these will most likely kill your download rate.
Hope it helps i tried these steps multiple times and found my download rate on my PS4 to be just shy of 30 Mbps but you dot necessarily have to do all the steps shown just the ones that u have right with you but for better results repetitively test internet connection before browsing the internet on ps4, Thanks and the feedback would be nice -PEACE- Fuutballer.
