PS4 controller light change/off :D Style

Post by SpaceBarNZ » Mon May 26, 2014 7:40 am

So, firstly I'd like to point out this requires a PC to be active the entire time you use this unfortunately. So this tutorial does three things basically.
*Control PC
* Control PS4 CONSOLE (with any light)
* Control PS4 CONSOLE (with no light)

I see this tutorial practical only if the light annoys you or more likely if you like using a different colour (any colour pracitcally imagineable D:)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting PS4 to work with PC.

1) You need this driver for your ps4 controller to work. Link semi-explanes why:
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-nz ... or-windows

2) Download "DS4 to XInput Wrapper". Scroll to bottom of post and download the latest version (1.2.2 as of now)
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper

3) Extract into a folder (any) and open ScpDriver.exe then click install. Should say it succeeded once done. :D Close it.

4) Plug DS4 into PC or add as a bluetooth device (Press+Hold Share & PlayStation button) -------------> not 100% if works wireless but I have tested wired.

5) Start ScpServer.exe and it should detect your controller. Yayyy you can control your PC.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the lights!

1) Turn on your PS4 Console. Make sure your Controller is working for you console while being with your PC.

2) Go to the ScpServer application and click options.BOOM! You have RGB colouring for your light bar!!
I'm not 100% sure for the other options really, but experiment.

3) make sure the buttons on your controller = 0, nothing, null on your pc so you don't do anything dogdy like shut down the program idk =/

Why this works? Probably the same reason people found themselves accidentally buying stuff on their PS4 when using the DS4 on their PS3?

Is there a way I can make this perm?
Does the color stay the same when I turn my PS4 on Standby and turn it back on?
