XMB Look with Retroarch

Post by xXJEDI007Xx » Sat Aug 27, 2016 5:40 am

Hello all this is going to be a quick tutorial explaining how to change the retroarch "theme" I've seen a lot of people asking in the forums how to change it to look like infamous XMB
style. The following tutorial is pretty simple anyone can do it. I apologize in advance in case there already is a tutorial on this.

The first step is to open MollecularShell & install whatever Retroarch core you want.

Second step is to go to the Retroarch settings. Once you are in settings go to the driver settings. Once on driver settings go down to Menu Driver and use the D-Pad to move settings to where it will say XMB.

Go to online updater followed by update assets. It will begin downloading the "theme". After it finishes downloading and extracting close the whatever core you installed and open it again. It should look like this now.

If you like what you see and decide to keep that "theme" go ahead and start scrolling down to Save Current Config.

NOTE!! If the core you want to change doesn't do anything if its just a plain screen with no letters you need to delete the following file:

To delete simply press triangle and it should look just like this:

Once you delete the file and open the core that you installed it should look like the XMB.

That completes the tutorial hope you guys like it and enjoy the way retroarch looks now.
